Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
At SwiftClip ("we", "our", or "us"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the SwiftClip website, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
1. Temporary Data Storage
SwiftClip is fundamentally a temporary clipboard. We do not permanently store your files or text strings.
- Text and Files: Any text or files you upload generate a 4-character code. These items are stored securely on our servers solely for the purpose of facilitating the transfer.
- Automatic Deletion: All shared text and files are permanently and automatically deleted shortly after they are successfully fetched or once they expire (e.g., after 10 minutes), whichever occurs first.
2. Information We Collect
Because SwiftClip operates primarily without user accounts or login walls, we collect minimal personal information.
- Device Identifiers & Cookies: We assign a secure, random Device ID (`sc_device_id`) stored as a cookie in your browser. This helps us ensure core functionality and mitigate abuse.
- Usage Metadata: We automatically collect broad usage information, such as IP addresses, browser types, and timestamp data to maintain site security, detect spam, and monitor platform health.
3. Third-Party Services and Advertising
To keep SwiftClip free for the majority of users, we employ third-party services which may collect their own data:
- Google AdSense & Advertising Partners: Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- For other advertising networks (such as Monetag), these partners may also use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies. Please check the respective privacy policies of these third parties.
4. Security of Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your temporary data. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for—and we don't direct them to—anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
6. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the Website home page.
7. Contact Information
